White House Rejects Claim Mike Pence ‘Snubbed’ by Prince Charles at Holocaust Forum

The Prince did not appear to make an effort to approach Pence and his wife, Karen.

Charles was filmed shaking hands with world leaders and other dignitaries, including Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the start of events marking 75 years since the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated from the Nazis.

Prince Charles appears to snub Pence as he shakes the hands of a row of worldwide leaders and VIPs at the World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem, sparing the American a brief glance and moving on to greet Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu instead. Charles looked him right in the eye. and moved right along. VP and Prince Charles spoke prior to entering the event floor and after his remarks as well'.

One person who did not snub the Vice President was Russian President Vladimir Putin, who did shake Pence's hand. Payne also retweeted Waldman's tweet showing a video of Pence and Charles conversing backstage.

Waldman shared a photo of Prince Charles speaking with Pence, taken by White House photographer Myles D. Cullen, and video of the two leaders having a pleasant encounter.

A Buckingham Palace official denied this was a snub, telling the BBC the prince and Mr Pence had a "long and warm conversation" before the ceremony began.

Before his pained moment with the Prince of Wales, Pence was caught on a hot mic discussing what appeared to be the impeachment trial with Netanyahu, "We're contending", Pence told Netanyahu.
