The Safe Carry Protection Act, signed in late April by Gov. Nathan Deal after passing the Georgia House and Senate with overwhelming bipartisan support, will take effect Tuesday, July 1.
It’s been dubbed the “guns everywhere bill” by establishment dupes the nation over which have been left wringing their hands at the prospect of actually being held quasi-accountable to the second amendment of the United States Constitution.
“People who follow the rules can protect themselves and their families from people who don’t follow the rules,” said Deal after signing the bill, adding: “The Second Amendment should never be an afterthought. It should reside at the forefronts of our minds.”
Once implemented, Georgia will be the latest state to allow firearms to be carried in churches, bars, airports and classrooms.
Here are some of the key changes of the bill:
- It will no longer be illegal to bring a firearm to a place of worship, as long as the congregation says it’s allowed. If someone is caught with a firearm in a church that bans guns there will be a $100 fine.
- School districts will be allowed to decide if staff can carry firearms in elementary and high schools. Firearms still won’t be legal on college campuses but the penalty for license holders is dropped to $100.
- Licensed carriers will be able to bring firearms into bars unless the owner disallows it. Someone who doesn’t co-operate with an owners gun rule could be charged with trespassing on private property.
- No more bans on firearms in public housing.
- Firearms can be carried in non-secure areas of airports. A person with a gun caught in a secure area will simply be asked to leave, without risk of arrest, jail or a fine.
I know, how terrible! Actually giving people a voluntary choice of coming together and setting their own gun rules in places like the churches they attend, where their children go to school, and bar establishments they frequent without the coercive and violent hand of government dictating whats acceptable with THEIR guns? How absurd!
What is of particular interest to Police State Daily are two other provisions of the bill:
- Police will not be able to stop people to ask to see a carry permit simply because they are in possession of a gun.
- No database will be allowed of concealed carry permit holders.
Not allowing police to harass anyone they see with a firearm in violation of their second and fourth amendments? Not invading gun owners personal privacy by cataloging them in a database? Just who do these people think they are? Its as if these Georgians actually think they are free or something.
Totalitarians of every stripe have called the bill “the most extreme in history.” Americans for Responsible Solutions, founded by former congresswoman Gabby Giffords who survived a shooting, called it “the most extreme gun bill in America.”
Unfortunately for Giffords, the left-leaning Politifact named this claim “mostly false.” In Arizona and other states, concealed handguns do not even require a permit or a background check.
NRA spokesman Jacqueline Issacs called the viewpoint of Giffords’
s group “out of the mainstream and in line with radical gun ban supporters such as billionaire Mike Bloomberg, who incidentally is a major benefactor of their group.”
So now we get to the heart of the matter. Gun control has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with control. The history of gun control is a sorted, startling, and racist catalog of atrocities through-out modern history.
Nazi Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945. 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. By 1987 that figure had risen to 61,911,000.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 10,076,000 political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated in Kuomintang China, and by 1987 another 35,236,000 exterminations were carried out under the Communists.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. Between 1975 and 19793, 2,035,000 “educated” people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. During the short four years of its rule in Cambodia, Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge government murdered over 31 percent of the entire Cambodian population.
To put it the way Mao Tze Tung put it in Nov 6 1938, “All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.”
Adam Winkler writing for the Daily Beast while doing research for his book Gunfight: The Battle Over the Right to Bear Arms in America, sums up the controlling and racist roots of modern gun control in the United States:
For much of our history, gun regulation has been tainted by the stains of racism and discrimination… Not only did they[lawmakers of the time] support laws prohibiting slaves from possessing guns, they also disarmed free blacks, who the Founders feared might join together with their brethren in chains to revolt. The fear of blacks with guns was one of the reasons behind the Supreme Court’s notorious decision in the Dred Scott case…
…America’s most horrific racist organization, the Ku Klux Klan (militant wing of the democratic party at the time), began with gun control at the very top of its agenda. Before the Civil War, blacks in the South had never been allowed to possess guns… After the war, Southern states adopted discriminatory laws like the Black Codes, which among other things barred the freedmen from having guns. Racist whites began to form posses that would go out at night to terrorize blacks—and take away their newly obtained firearms(after the war military arms were readily available)
…Whites believed that they had to confiscate black people’s guns in order to reestablish white supremacy and prevent blacks from fighting back. Blacks who refused to turn over their only means of self-defense were lynched. Overly aggressive gun control often sparks a backlash, and that’s exactly what happened after the Civil War…
…Determined to protect the freedmen’s rights, Congress passed legislation like the Freedmen’s Bureau Act and the nation’s first Civil Rights Act. As the former law stated, blacks were entitled to “the full and equal benefit of all laws… concerning personal security… including the constitutional right to bear arms.”
Many gun control advocates are well-meaning but they have no understanding of history and more importantly have little understanding of logic. They are easily lead and manipulated by the emotional rhetoric of their controllers.
Obviously, like pieces of paper(constitutions) are unable to control governments, pieces of paper (laws) can not control criminals. If you think that pen scribbles are somehow endowed with magical powers and criminals will just turn in their guns because government says so, you are EXTREMELY naive. All gun laws do is leave law-abiding citizens defenseless because they are the only ones that respect the laws.
Most gun control advocates haven’t really taken the time to examine their proposals. For example, gun registry. Here, I’ll let Larken Rose explain:
It is also important to point out that no one really supports gun control. What gun control advocates are actually supporting is a gun owning monopoly on the part of the government and their enforcers. As we have already demonstrated, this is NEVER a good idea. Isn’t it funny how all the politicians and celebrities who advocate taking guns away from average Americans routinely have guns themselves or armed entourages and body guards?
In a perfect world guns would not exist but we don not live in a perfect world. If gun control is so great why don’t the politicians and Hollywood propagandists give up theirs? If guns in schools are so bad, why do both of Obama’s daughters attend a private school with 11 armed guards? Oh wait I thought that was extreme? Is your children any less important than the criminals that think they have the right to rule you and leave yours(kids) defenseless to Sandy Hook style mass shootings? NO!
So while Georgia is at the forefront on this issue of personal freedom and individual liberty hopefully many other states will grow a backbone, follow through, and effectively re-legalize the second amendment, a natural right endowed to us upon birth that was never supposed to be infringed.
Remember, a defenseless society would be the ULTIMATE police state.
